Dekor

Dekor is a leading Turkish manufacturer of paint rollers, brushes and application tools for professional and industrial markets. Founded in 1966, the company operates a production facility of approximately 50,000 m² and exports to more than 50 countries. With continuous production and international distribution, efficient storage and handling of raw materials in big bags is essential. To support further growth, Dekor needed a safer and more space-efficient way to store big bags inside the factory.

The Challenge

Increasing Big Bag Storage Without Expanding the Warehouse

Before implementing the Indus Neva system, Dekor stored big bags on wooden pallets. Because stacking higher was considered unsafe and unstable, storage was limited to a single level.

This created several challenges:

  • Limited storage capacity inside the warehouse.
  • Overflow storage outside the building, even on the parking area.
  • Exposure of raw materials to weather conditions.
  • Inefficient internal handling and reduced warehouse control.
  • Limited floor space available for further production growth.

Dekor initially considered traditional racking, but this would require fixed aisles and reduce flexibility.

With racking, you lose a lot of space because of corridors. With this system, you don’t need that.Mr. Turan, General Manager at Dekor

The Indus Solution

Neva: Flexible Big Bag Stacking Without Fixed Infrastructure

Indus supplied Dekor with a flexible Neva stacking solution for big bags. Instead of storing big bags on single-level pallets or in fixed racking, Dekor can now safely stack big bags in multiple levels within the same warehouse footprint.

The system integrates directly into the existing operation:

  • Big bags are placed on the Neva pallet system.
  • The loops are secured to the supporting poles.
  • Forklifts can move and stack the systems directly.
  • No fixed aisles, racking or warehouse reconstruction are required.

This gave Dekor a flexible storage method that could grow with their production needs.

The Result

Proven Benefits:

  • Storage capacity increased from 6 to 15 full truckloads in the same footprint.
  • Up to 250% of the original storage capacity.
  • Approximately 216 additional big bags stored in the same space.
  • External storage was eliminated.
  • Raw materials are better protected from weather conditions.
  • More structure, visibility and control in the warehouse.
  • Valuable floor space was freed up for new production machinery.

Now it is well organized and we can control it much better. We can also keep more raw materials, so we are less affected by price changes and supply issues.”
Mr. Turan, General Manager at Dekor

Dekor now uses 302 Indus systems across its warehouse and production operations, showing that the solution is scalable in a real industrial environment.
