This is particularly relevant for materials such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>powders and dry chemical additives;<\/li>\n<li>PET flakes and post-consumer bottle flakes;<\/li>\n<li>recycled plastic flakes and regrind;<\/li>\n<li>irregular materials such as plastic bottle caps;<\/li>\n<li>dry food ingredients such as spices and seasoning powders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The behaviour differs per product. Particle size, moisture, bulk density, compaction, super sack geometry and outlet design can all influence discharge.<\/p>\n<p>That is why there is no single unloading method that works equally well for every dry bulk material.<\/p>\n<h2>Vibration or Bag Activators: what does your material need?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/indus-bulklogistics.com\/en_us\/products\/super-sack-unloading-station\/\" target=\"_self\">Indus Super Sack Unloading Station<\/a> can be configured with a vibrating platform specifically for difficult-flowing powders and flakes. Indus positions this configuration as a lower-height alternative to conventional hanging Super Sack frames.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For <strong>medium-flowing materials<\/strong>, vibration is often sufficient. A vibration motor transfers controlled movement through the platform into the Super Sack system, helping compacted material move towards the outlet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">More difficult powders may require additional mechanical action. In that case, four pneumatic <strong>Bag Activators<\/strong> push against the bottom of the Super Sack. The combination of vibration and repeated bag activation helps break bridges and moves material towards the discharge spout. Indus also uses this combined configuration for difficult-flowing materials in its production solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In practical Indus tests, difficult powders have been emptied in <strong>up to approximately 20 minutes<\/strong> with the combined configuration. This should not be regarded as a guaranteed cycle time: actual discharge performance depends strongly on the material and Super Sack.<\/p>\n<h2>How does the NEVA unloading process work?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The NEVA concept allows the same Super Sack to remain supported during storage, internal transport and unloading. The <a href=\"https:\/\/indus-bulklogistics.com\/en_us\/products\/super-sack-carrier\/\" target=\"_self\">NEVA Super Sack Carrier<\/a> can subsequently be positioned directly on the unloading station with a forklift.<\/p>\n<p>The unloading sequence is straightforward:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the filled Super Sack inside the NEVA Super Sack Carrier.<\/li>\n<li>Position the complete system on the unloading station with a forklift.<\/li>\n<li>Access the discharge spout through the opening in the NEVA deck.<\/li>\n<li>Release the first of the two outlet ties and pull the emptying spout through the deck.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the spout to the receiving pipe or downstream process connection.<\/li>\n<li>Only then release the second tie and start discharging.<\/li>\n<li>Activate vibration when material flow decreases.<\/li>\n<li>For difficult powders, activate the pneumatic Bag Activators to massage and reshape the lower part of the super sack.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Connecting the outlet before fully opening the Super Sack supports low-dust and controlled discharge. Additional dust-control solutions can be discussed where the process requires further containment.<\/p>\n<p>This means NEVA can support the super sack across receiving, storage, internal transport, production and unloading, rather than being used only at the final discharge point.<\/p>\n<h2>A lower-height alternative to traditional discharge stations<\/h2>\n<p>Traditional FIBC discharge systems commonly suspend the super sack from a gantry, crane or hoist above the receiving equipment. A configuration with additional pneumatic Bag Activators is approximately <strong>\u20ac13,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the current EUR\/USD exchange rate (August 2026), that is roughly $9,500 and $15,000 respectively. These amounts are intended only to indicate the investment level and are not fixed US quotations. Final pricing depends on the required controls, pneumatic equipment, electrical configuration, freight and integration into the customer's production process.<\/p>\n<p>The system can also be integrated further into a production process, for example by combining vibration and pneumatic activation with engineered controls or downstream process signals.<\/p>\n<h2>Safety and application limits<\/h2>\n<p>For production environments outside classified ATEX dust zones, the standard Vibration Station provides a cost-effective solution for difficult-flowing powders and flakes.<\/p>\n<p>The European Vibration Station and control panel use a 400 V three-phase electrical connection. Pneumatic Bag Activators additionally require compressed air.<\/p>\n<p>Operation should only be carried out by authorised personnel and the equipment must be isolated from electrical and pneumatic energy before maintenance. Technical drawings, safety documentation and operating manuals are available from Indus on request.<\/p>\n<h2>Does it work with your powder? Test it first<\/h2>\n<p>The most reliable way to determine whether vibration alone is sufficient, or whether Bag Activators are required, is to test the <strong>actual material in the actual super sack<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Indus offers the possibility to perform discharge tests using customer materials and Super Sacks. Depending on the project, testing can take place at Indus or be discussed for the customer\u2019s production site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The approach is already being used in industry.
